And with it great events from your Beaver Island Community Center.  Coming up this weekend is an island tradition that’s a long-time favorite.  It is time once again for the annual PABI Road Rally. A full afternoon of thrills, chills, challenges, and all out competitive fun will be had by all! Registration: $20 per person with no limit on the number of persons per car (other than safety).  Start: 12:30pm at the Shamrock. Our movies this weekend both have a bit of a mystic twist.  Mary and the Witch’s Flower features beautiful animation and a heartwarming story.  It’s on at 3PM and rated PG.  At 7, the multiple award-winning The Shape of Water takes to the big screen.  It’s a love story like no other with amazing special effects, a fabulous script and many outstanding performances.  It’s rated R.  Both shows have free-will donation admission (students free) and, as always, tasty treats and drinks will be available at the concession stand.

Next on the stage is the annual BICS 4th & 5th grade play. This year our young thespians bring you Born to Be Wild.  What do animals think about?  This show has the answers.  Raffle prizes will be awarded (come early to see the prizes).  Laughs & giggles will be had.  Animals will run wild.  And all proceeds will go towards supporting the 4th & 5th Grade Class Trip to Camp Hayo-Went-Ha!

And, on WVBI this week, listen for more Beaver Island Perspectives on Township Consolidation starting Wednesday evening right after the news at 5:00 p.m. The Wednesday show features an interview with Kitty McNamara and Ron Wojan.
