Our second theater production of the 10th anniversary season at the Beaver Island Community Center takes to the stage this week. And that show is the annual BICS 4th & 5th grade play. This year our young thespians bring you Born to Be Wild. What do animals think about? The kids have the answers. Raffle prizes will be awarded (come early to see the prizes). Laughs & giggles will be had. Animals will run wild. And all proceeds will go towards supporting the 4th & 5th Grade Class Trip to Camp Hayo-Went-Ha!
We have two great movies in a superpower movie extravaganza this weekend. At 3:00 p.m. on Saturday catch the latest Lego superhero movie. But don’t blink or you will miss it because it’s the Flash. At 7:00 p.m. evil doers need to clear out because the Justice League will be on the big screen in the Robert Gillespie Memorial Theater. It’s rated R. Both shows have free-will donation admission (students free) and, as always, tasty treats and drinks will be available at the concession stand.
All week there are activities at the BIC Center. Exercise sessions, board games, pool. movies on the TV in the hangout and more. And, coming next we have the bIrobot Film Festival with an FRC pit display, robot demonstration and information on what FIRST is all about. (It’s more than robots.) . Check below or the Community Calendar for details.
