Countdown to ‘curtain time’ at the BIC Center!
The Island eagerly counts down to the Memorial Weekend Holiday–and hopefully some warm weather! The BIC Center will be humming with ‘Warblers on the Water’ Birding Festival programs and the opening curtain of ‘Drinking Habits 2: Caught in the Act’ by Tom Smith. The BI Community Players are eager for an audience–and to show off their new set, recently acquired from the CMU Summer Theater tour. In fact, Stan Jensen, new Beaver Island resident and CMU University Theater professor emeritus, joins the Players as Lighting Designer for this production. So no movies this Saturday, but lots of birds and nuns at the BIC Center.

What’s at the BIC Center?
The Welcome Center
The front room of our first floor is a Welcome Center. It is a great place to get information, grab a snack, connect to Wi-Fi and kick off your island adventure. It’s also home to the office of the Island’s Chamber of Commerce.
BIC Center Theater
The BIC Center Theater is the premier performance space on the island hosting music of all genres, dance, theater productions, movies, seminars and community meetings. Check here for complete information on upcoming events.
The Hangout
Our Hangout upstairs offers an informal gathering place for meetings, reading, pool, board games, video games, TV, using our community PCs and printer, and … just hanging out. Also there are studios for the community’s radio station…our very own WVBI-The Voice of Beaver Island.
