Well here we are on ‘May Day’ looking forward to our first weekend full of ‘May Madness’ events! First up, on Saturday, May 6 we’ll kick-off our bIrobot Movie Festival with an up-close-and-personal robot demonstration by the students who made it happen! The robot demo is at 3:00 followed by this week’s robot movie ‘WALL-E’.  Our evening feature is ‘Split’ at 7pm. (Scroll down to see movie trailers).

Next up is the Charlevoix County COA Sunday Dinner on May 7 @ 11am, featuring the ‘Spring Strings Serenade’ concert including the classics of ‘Voluntary March’, ‘Edelweiss’ and more starting at 11:30am. This is the last Sunday Dinner until September–don’t miss this wonderful opportunity of feasting, fellowship and fun! Coffee, cookies, and side-seating available for those unable to attend dinner.

Rounding out the weekend is the 15th Annual PABI Road Rally–developed by the winners of last year’s Road Rally! A full afternoon of entertainment, chills, thrills and all-out competitive fun! Registration @12:30pm at the Shamrock, followed by start. $20 per person/ no limit per car. Never Rrrallied?! Don’t have a car/team?! Just call 231-448-2022 and we’ll get you signed up! Beaver Island’s ultimate Road Rally returns for #15! (Proceeds benefit the Preservation Association of Beaver Island, owning and operating your Beaver Island Community Center and WVBI 100.1FM, the Voice of Beaver Island).
