A Different Halloween
Happy Halloween! The BIC Center and WVBI are ready to help you celebrate with some COVID-safe family fun and a Halloween soundtrack. Creepy tunes start at 3:00 on WVBI. At the BIC Center, our 4:00 movie is Happy Halloween Scooby Doo with the gang solving a mystery on Shag’s favorite holiday. It will end at about 5:30, which is just in time for Trick or Treat in town. We’ll have treats from the Chamber and the Boat Company (along with ours of course) at the BIC Center.
More treats in lieu of tricks will be at other merchants around town, plus at Trunk or Treat will be on over at the Gregg Fellowship Center.
At 7:00 p.m., Tim Burton’s A Nightmare Before Christmas will take to the Big Screen with the Big Sound in the BIC Center Theater. Its a holiday classic with Jack Skellington and his crew that is great for the whole family. Our Concession Stand will be open for snacks, a meal or both. Catch the trailers for both shows in our Facebook posts or at the BIC Center Website. Masks and family pod based social distancing is required with seating in the theater limited if needed to meet that requirement.

What’s at the BIC Center?
The Welcome Center
The front room of our first floor is a Welcome Center. It is a great place to get information, grab a snack, connect to Wi-Fi and kick off your island adventure. It’s also home to the office of the Island’s Chamber of Commerce.
BIC Center Theater
The BIC Center Theater is the premier performance space on the island hosting music of all genres, dance, theater productions, movies, seminars and community meetings. Check here for complete information on upcoming events.
The Hangout
Our Hangout upstairs offers an informal gathering place for meetings, reading, pool, board games, video games, TV, using our community PCs and printer, and … just hanging out. Also there are studios for the community’s radio station…our very own WVBI-The Voice of Beaver Island.
