With the spring thaw comes time for the 17th annual running of the PABI Road Rally.  Don’t get left out of the fun. Register now at the BIC Center or register at the Shamrock at the start.  On site registration and a review of the rules starts at 12:30 on Sunday, May 5, at the Shamrock with the start of the rally to follow.

  • REGISTRATION: $20 per person; no #limit per car; 12:30pm @ Shamrock.
  • WHAT TO BRING: A Wojan-Cashman (third edition) Beaver Island map, cell phone and a BI phone book!
  • START: On-site Registration @12:30pm followed by Rules & Regs, followed by Start!
  • FINISH: Includes tasty treats, special awards, and presentation of the coveted Trophy!!

It’s a full afternoon of thrills, chills, challenges, and all out competitive fun!  Never ‘rallied’?! Don’t have a car to ride in?! We’ll find you one…just call the BIC Center at 448-2022!  YOU’LL HAVE A BLAST! Additional details are on the WVBI/BIC Center Community Calendar.

’til Beth Do Us Part was a grand kick-off to our 2019 season of performance events in the McDonough’s Market Theater at the BIC Center.  Next up is Expose’: Holiday Celebrities Tell All on Friday May 10 at 7.  It’s the annual Beaver Island Community School 4th and 5th grade play, which means it’s guaranteed to be a good time for all.  Reserved seats are $7.  All proceeds go to benefit the 4th & 5th grade trip to Camp Hayo-Went-Ha.

Also coming up is the First Annual BIC Center Pickleball Tournament.  That’s set for June 2 starting at 11 on the McDonough’s Market Pickleball Court. SIgn up at the BIC Center front desk by May 26.  Your team needs two players, but all ages and genders are welcome on all teams.

Our regular weekly events continue with Pickle Ball Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 (with a hiatus the week ahead of the 4th & 5th grade play), the Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 to 11, and Games Galore Thursday afternoons from 1 to 4. And, there are movies every Saturday at 4 and 7 (except when there is a show in the house). Check here for trailers and details.
