Thanksgiving
After a beautiful fall and a quick transition from summer-like temperatures to snow, Thanksgiving is almost upon us. Even in the off season there is plenty going on both at the BIC Center and on the island. Here at the Community Center you’ll find movies every Saturday, Pickleball at 9:30 on Thursday mornings (but not on Thanksgiving), COA’s Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program on Tuesday’s and Fridays at 10:00 a.m, and Games Galore on Thursday afternoons at 1:00 (again, not on Thanksgiving). Around the island, make sure you have the Hunter’s Dinner on your list. It’s this Saturday, November 18th, at the Shamrock from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. And, on Sunday, over at the Greg Fellowship Hall you can join in a Community Thanksgiving Dinner starting at 6:00 in the evening. And, if you are a hunter, there are rumors of deer in the woods.

What’s at the BIC Center?
The Welcome Center
The front room of our first floor is a Welcome Center. It is a great place to get information, grab a snack, connect to Wi-Fi and kick off your island adventure. It’s also home to the office of the Island’s Chamber of Commerce.
BIC Center Theater
The BIC Center Theater is the premier performance space on the island hosting music of all genres, dance, theater productions, movies, seminars and community meetings. Check here for complete information on upcoming events.
The Hangout
Our Hangout upstairs offers an informal gathering place for meetings, reading, pool, board games, video games, TV, using our community PCs and printer, and … just hanging out. Also there are studios for the community’s radio station…our very own WVBI-The Voice of Beaver Island.
