The BIC Center is still a ‘hotbed’ of August activities!
The Ray and Ann Stanhope stage is still hoppin’ this week with the ‘wrap up’ of the 3rd Annual Jazz Series presented by the BIC Center and the Beaver Island Cultural Arts Association on Friday, August 18th at 8pm. Terry Lower is featured on the 1916 Mason-Hamlin concert grand piano newly acquired by the BI Cultural Arts Association, accompanied by premiere vocalists Edye Evans Hyde and Martha Guth, along with jazz guitarist Michael Hyde. Sweet. Not to mention Yoga on M, W & F at 9:30am and Movies on Tuesday & Saturday at 3pm and 7pm. Come join us!
What’s at the BIC Center?
The Welcome Center
The front room of our first floor is a Welcome Center. It is a great place to get information, grab a snack, connect to Wi-Fi and kick off your island adventure. It’s also home to the office of the Island’s Chamber of Commerce.
BIC Center Theater
The BIC Center Theater is the premier performance space on the island hosting music of all genres, dance, theater productions, movies, seminars and community meetings. Check here for complete information on upcoming events.
The Hangout
Our Hangout upstairs offers an informal gathering place for meetings, reading, pool, board games, video games, TV, using our community PCs and printer, and … just hanging out. Also there are studios for the community’s radio station…our very own WVBI-The Voice of Beaver Island.
